This film is the final presentation of the Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show's 2021 designers. It reflects the uncertainty, distortion and surreality of the context in which it was produced, and is a Smorgasbord of up and coming design, from haute couture to streetwear and classical tailoring. Watch our protagonist lose herself further and further into the dreamscape of Edinburgh's underground, encountering odd characters and surreal situations along the way.
During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, the ECFS team were forced to adapt to the legal, financial and logistical constraints preventing the annual in-person runway presentation and event from taking place. Although the demands of presenting the varied aesthetics of our 12 talented designers in one unified film were considerable with next to no budget and severe restrictions on location and travel, we made it happen. A special thanks to Danny Bonar for his camerawork and expertise.
